Chona Villegas

  • Founder of Living Stone Yoga
  • Chona Villegas is the founder and owner of Living Stone Yoga Studio. She has been practicing yoga since 2006. She completed the 500 hour Teacher Yoga Certification in June 2013 from the Southeast Institute of Healing and Arts. Prior to life as yogini, she practiced a wide variety of nursing positions in a multitude of different disciplines. Her experience as a nurse combined with her passion for yoga allows Chona to provide a practice of yoga that focuses on proper alignment and structural integration. Chona's classes are known for having a relaxing environment infused with moments of humor and real-life story telling as they tie into her lessons. She provides practices in Hatha, Yin, Restorative, and Guided Meditation. Her studio is the only place in the Southeast Valley that provides "The Wall", which centers on correct alignment of various bodily yoga postures. Chona continues to seek continuing education, such as Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Yoga, in order to provide new and fun ways to explore yoga. Despite the adventurous moments in her life with yoga, she is deeply invested in her family of 8, that includes four children, two dogs, and a wonderful, supportive, and loving husband.



Kayla Albu

Kayla first experienced meditation when she was 12 years old when she had a teacher walk her though a guided meditation to help with her anxiety.

She didn’t have another encounter with meditation until she was 17 and she knew then that this was something that she needed in her life . After practicing yoga for a few years she started to share her yoga experience with her friends and family and soon realized that teaching yoga would be her next step in her life and began formally teaching in 2013. Her yoga classes offer her students a positive way to connect and better understand themselves in an energetic and playful atmosphere. Kayla brings her joy of yoga to help others live healthier lives on and off the mat.

Nim Suweenart

Suweenart Stant is a dance artist from Thailand. She has been practicing Thai Classical Dance, Indian Classical Dance over 20 years. She also practicing ballet from Mesa Community College and become a member of the MCC dance company since 2011. During her time in India in 2005, she found yoga and began studying yoga for her own personal knowledge. She then decided to take another journey to become a yoga teacher. She has attended a 200 hours yoga teacher training at Inner Vision Yoga in Arizona. She also learn ashtanga yoga from Tim Feldmann, director of Miami Life Center and authorized ashtanga Yoga teacher directly by the founder of the ashtanga yoga method, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and his grandson, R. Sharath Jois. Suweenart also feel in love with the art of teaching yoga for all ages. Suweenart designs her classes to accommodate all who come to the studio whether it’s a person’s first time in a yoga class or they’re a seasoned yoga student, she likes to encourage her students to find a connection with their breath and body and to have fun with their yoga practice.

Lu Ann Foster

Lu Ann has been a student and teacher of yoga for ten years. She is drawn to a more gentle practice and weaves pranayama, meditation and yoga philosophy into her classes. For the last seven years, Lu Ann has primarily taught to active older adults. She is also a Reiki Master Teacher and Crystal Bowl Practitioner, sharing the magic and healing of vibration. Lu Ann is currently studying Yoga Therapy and soon will have over 800 hours of Yoga Teacher Training.
